Apple Users!!!
So we are getting a lot of complaints that people using Macintosh computers cannot stream Wolf Pack Radio. This sucks because, as a college campus, there are tons of people who use Mac products. What makes it even worse is that Macintosh users have absolutely no knowledge of how to troubleshoot or even work a computer. Half of you guys won’t even try to Google a solution.
Seriously. Apple users can’t do anything on their own.
So I’m here to hold your hand, and tell you what to do. Most Apple users need to be told what to do anyhow. That is why you use Apple products.
I (being awesome) have researched two possible solutions to your ailment. Here they are:
1) You could download Windows Media Player 9 for your Mac OSX. It is actually a pretty sweet program, low resource, and unlike previous incarnations of Windows Media Player, pretty low key. This is probably the most direct solution to your problem, but I haven’t had time to test it yet personally. Windows Media Player 9 is a free program available for download here
2) If you are using Quicktime and the stream is not working, try switching to VLC media player. VLC is a free program available for download here
~or~
2) If you are using VLC media player and the stream is not working, try switching to Quicktime. Quicktime is a free program available for down load here
Whatever this issue is, for some reason, has no consistency across the board. Some people have gotten the stream to work on VLC or Quicktime, but seldom both.
I hope that this will help you listen to our lovely stream, and if anybody has a solution to this whole Apple problem, lemme know. Email me at ray@wolfpackradio.org
Thanks you for your time and patience.
-Ray
