Poster Template Info/New Station Manager/AMPS News
Hey gang,
This is a big post, but it’s full of important info so try to wade through:
Show Posters
This is terribly delayed, but we finally have the specs for the show posters:
The posters will be available in either:
- 11 x 17 inches
- 8.5 x 11 inches
That’s not huge, but its also free.
As far as guidelines go, try to put this image in your poster somewhere, it doesn’t have to be huge, but try to remember us a little bit. Also, try not to make us look too bad, keep it as clean as possible.
When you’ve got the poster just send it to me (charlie@wolfpackradio.org). Also, if you need someone to design a poster just let me know and we’ll find something.
New Station Manager
If you’ve been in the station recently you know that Steve Owens resigned as station manager. On Friday we had our election and Ray Eliot was selected to be the station manager for the remainder of the semester.
Thank you for all your patience through the transition to new management.
AMPS
One new goal for the station is to become more well known across campus. In that vein, we present:
The Art Music Poetry Slam, or AMPS, which will be held by the station at 7 on March 3th in the Joe Crowley Ballroom C. Attendance will be free, and there will be art shown, some local bands, and poetry readings so it should be pretty rad.
This is where you come in: submit your own art, grab your band or your favorite poem and email Sam to get involved.
Or, if you just want to help but don’t live for the spotlight: help us design posters, tell your friends and generally just get the word out there. Again, if you want to help us out just let us know what you can do to spread the word around about the station.
Live Remotes
Also in keeping with our desire to spread the love for our station, we’re starting to promote with live shows across campus.
Expect a new ‘Get Involved’ page to pop up on the site soon. From there you’ll be able to sign up for live remotes or apply for new DJ shows.
Thanks for sticking through that wall of text,
-Charlie
